The non-profit organisation Association for Environment and Development / Projetkwerkstatt was founded in 1993 and is active in the area of integration and media work. It is part of European networks (e.g. NILE-Network) and has successfully carried out the EU project IMES (Grundtvig 1). The main focus of its activities is education and includes topics like intercultural and non-discriminatory work, migration, development policy, environment and media. Persons of all ages, sexes, social and cultural backgrounds take part in the projects.
The NGO is demonstrating the crossroads and interrelated effects of media, development and migration. With relation to that, the NGO wants to show common interests and tries to bring forward the co-operation of other NGOs in this sector. As an indicator of its success the NGO has set itself the target to include migrants and migrant organisations in all of their activities. The NGO has extensive experiences in the training of Internet-pilots. They are mediators in a local network of Internet and computer access points in associations and public places. Main target group of the network are migrants who can learn how to use new media (Internet, computer etc).
The Multicultural Centre Prague is a non-governmental non-profit organization aiming at creating a tolerant and enriching intercultural coexistence and the social and economic advancement of migrants in the Czech Republic. We: a) inform specialists, practitioners as well as the wider public about interethnic coexistence; b) create a forum where communication, learning and research can take place; c) work on developing the intercultural skills of individuals and institutions; d) initiate public discussions. Over the course of the last years, the Multicultural Centre Prague developed its Migration Online website to one of the most important websites for migration issues in the Czech Republic and other Central and Eastern European countries. We have also been active in a number of research projects dealing with various aspects of migration and integration.

It is an environmental centre based on a traditional farm and has become ‘a non-profit-making Centre for the practise and teaching of environmental matters. There will be a particular emphasis on social inclusion, involving and employing the disadvantaged and people with disabilities.’ It is now operating various funded programmes for the Intermediate learning Market that involve a variety of people with considerable disadvantages and debilitating personal difficulties.
Association Mine of Art is located in the historic building of the old coal mine. Below in the text we specify how the Association, which was created in 2007, works on strong promotion of the region and its inhabitants, on popularization of the industrialized heritage of the region and city Zabrze through organization of the artistic and cultural events (e.g. concerts, art exhibitions which are connected with our region). We also want to induce interest of the people outside our region in historic industrial buildings.

Marthaförbundet influences decision-makers and authorities through initiatives and statements and serves as a channel between the authorities in the society and people at grass-root level.
APoWeR (Association for the promotion of woman in Romania) is a nongovernmental organisation whose mission is to educate the whole society by promoting affirmative and non-discriminatory policies in order to increase the quality of women’s lives in Romania. The organisation works to raise public awareness through programmes of education regarding human rights, violence against women and democratic policies for the promotion of equal opportunities; to provide social support services consisting of psychological and legal counselling, social assistance, phone counselling and educational programmes; to promote adequate legislation through lobby and advocacy campaigns.
