Academy of Humanities and Economics in Łódź
Nowadays there are over 20 thousand students learning in various faculties and in different modes
The AHE has had status of a non-public higher education institution since 1993, when it was registered in the Ministry of Education on October 5th, at number 30. There were 250 students learning at the Academy during the first year of its activity. Nowadays such a number of students joins the Academy every day during enrolment. No wonder that facing the growing interest, the Academy gradually develops its educational offer, employs many outstanding scientists, experts-practitioners as well as academics.
What makes the Academy unique
From the very beginning it was clearly stated that the Academy wants to focus on students’ individual development by shaping their creative and open attitude to reality. By taking part in creative activity classes participants develop their sensitivity and imagination, find it easier to solve difficult and atypical problems, enrich the scope of their creative disposition. Students also acquire the ability to approach problems in a flexible and innovative way. They learn how to liberate from typical patterns of thinking and acting, how to cope with stress, they find out about methods of group cooperation and negotiations. All these features are indispensable in a modern place of work – they are virtues of the Academy graduates.

International Projects Department
The Academy is the leader among Polish higher educational institutions as far as international cooperation is concerned. The Academy takes part in various international programmes and projects. Academic and scientific staff is composed of the most distinguished specialists and thus our European partners are keen on inviting them to participate in research project. Projects in which we are or we were involved cover various areas and they are financed by the European Union programmes – Leonardo da Vinci, Socrates (Eramsums, Minerva, Lingua, Grundtvig), Jean Monnet, 6FP, Asia-Link Programme. At present we coordinate about 15 projects, we are a partner organization at more that 50.
