Gregus Mate Iskola
The legal predecessor of the www.gregusm-hodm.sulinet.hu Gregus Máté Agricultural Secondary Technical and Vocational School was founded in 1896 as a school for agricultural workers.
From 1994, when the present school was founded, students have obtained general agricultural knowledge. Now there are twenty-two teachers teaching here and 210 students attending the school. The school is attended by students aged 15-20, which means that they study here for four years to obtain a 'Matura' Certificate, after which they can continue their agricultural studies in the technical years.
During their four-year studies they study arts subjects, science subjects, languages (English or German)and agriculture in general on a basic level during the different agricultural classes (animal keeping and breeding, plant growing, gardening, engineering and technology studies, enterprise studies and practice).
