London Advice Services Alliance
Lasa provides specialist legal advice and training support to caseworkers and individuals and develop policy responses in these areas. We run nine web sites offering advice and information to a wide range of third sector organisations. Our Multikulti web site, www.multikulti.org.uk provides targeted information in twelve UK community languages for refugees and migrants. Another key feature of our work lies in the provision of ICT innovation and capacity building for the sector. We are members of the National ICT ChangeUp Hub and, the London Regional Consortium of ChangeUp, for whom we convene and service the ICT and Advice sub-groups. In this capacity we have developed the www.Knowledgbase.org.uk web site and the ‘Circuit Riders’ model of mobile IT support workers for voluntary sector organisations.
